The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has commissioned BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) to conduct a disparity study to measure the participation and availability of person of color- (POC-) and woman-owned businesses in Caltrans’ contracts and procurements and provide recommendations for Caltrans to improve its implementation of the Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. BBC is a 54-year-old economic and diversity research firm based in Denver, Colorado and has conducted more than 140 disparity studies for cities, states, and other organizations across the country. As part of the disparity study, BBC conducts extensive outreach with local businesses, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, and other key stakeholders.

To augment our outreach, BBC is requesting support from Veterans In Business Network to spread awareness of the 2024 Caltrans Disparity Study by sharing information about the disparity study, including but not limited to sharing amongst your organization’s members:
