Description | In California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Decision 19-09-006 dated September 12, 2019, PG&E received approval to create a program for low-to-moderate income families to receive financial incentives for electric vehicle home charging technology equipment and some of the installation costs at eligible customer single family homes. This program is called Empower EV. The purpose of this RFP is for the services of an Implementer to assemble an Implementation Team to administer PG&E’s Empower EV. The Implementation Team must include a Community Based Organization (CBO) and an Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) provider. Requirements | The successful Implementer must have significant experience managing an equity program and possess a thorough understanding of California Air Resource Board’s (CARB) EV equity programs. Implementation Teams must include one or more EVSE providers to provide Level 1 or 2 chargers or charging assistive technology priced at or under $500 per unit. The Implementation Team must also include one or more Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to help with program marketing, outreach, and education, especially in San Jose, Fresno, and the Bay Point to Discovery Bay corridor area. |
